Looks like Tim Brown is going to retire. Big loss for the sporting world. He just exemplifies "class act" when it comes to professional sports. Gave ND alot of good memories. Maybe we could see him on the sidelines for ND in the future?

I have a feeling TB will be a part of Notre Dame down the road. Only a matter of time.

Somebody on the NDNation board mentioned that he may join the NBC staff. Given that there is an opening, that may be more than just hot air.

If he went with NBC I would imagine it would be as an addition to their new NFL programming and not with the ND broadcast. He would do a great job. He's knows the game, is well spoken. He'd be so much better than Michael Irvin. Although anyone with a ninth grade education could do better than Irvin. I can't even understand what he says. I'm constantly consulting my Irvin to English Dictionary.

I think having Brown as part of the ND broadcast would appear too biased for NBC's taste.

Bias in network news division is fine, but it's totally unacceptable in the sports department.

If NBC let Marv Albert do Knicks games and had O.J. on the sidelines for ND games, they could fit Brown into a few ND games as well.

Anyone remember O.J.'s comments to Bobby Bowden after the 1993 game against Florida State?

He thanked Bowden for his time after getting post-game comments from him after the 31-24 ND win, then said "good luck coach" and "hopefully you'll get another shot in January."

Clearly, a Trojan that just watched another ND team dethrone a #1 ranked team and was not happy about it. I found it very unprofessional, but it was done tactfully so that most casual viewers wouldn't even notice.
