Three poinnt line moved?

I heard about a proposal to have the three point line being moved back a foot. I wonder why they would make a rule change like this. Maybe so the transition to NBA threes won't be as far for players. I don't think it's a good idea to change it because shooting percentages will go down for teams that are trying to get back in the game. It's would be a tough adjustment for players to make and I don't think it would be a good idea.

I would just make it the way it is internationaly. But I heard it would be further back than the international line. I don't know if I see much wrong with the way it is now.

i think the hoop is too low as well. they should raise it up a foot or so. basketball wasn't designed for the monsters that currently play the game.

Maybe so, but most college players don't make it to the NBA anyway and they should keep it the way that it is to benifit decent college not necessarily superstars.

The line needs to be moved back. It's like shooting free throws for some dudes. Although for Cincinnati, the free throw line needs to be moved UP. Horrible, just horrible!

the proposal was approved. for a lot of those guys, it shouldn't be too big of a deal. and for others, well they'll just have to get a lot of 2-pters to make up for it.

but i think moving the line is a lot easier than changing the height of the basket. do you have any idea how much that would throw off guys' shoots, regardless of where they were shooting from?

I agree that it should be made the same as international. And the same as the women's also. Some courts are going to have 3 different lines now!

the line needs to be moved back. too many crappy basketball teams are winning without any type of post play. they just chuck up 3's. screw the mid majors:talktohan
