What a SOB. He must of had a bet on the Gators who had to give 22 points, to kick a field goal with 25 seconds left when up by only 20. I know he had a bet because if he was only trying to run up the score why not go for the end zone like he did in the play before. I am glad he is not at ND. I would rather win ugly than like an A-hole.

You must not be very familiar with the history of the series.

See: Howard Schnellenberger.

It was a DESERVED payback to a rival.

And I'm just taking a wild guess that you bet on "da U" to beat the spread.

WeisWeisBaby was right, this spread shouldn't have been this high, but like I said it seemed like a classic Vegas sucker line. Lots of people took Miami from what I've been reading. And once again, Miami's offense, inc QB, was remedial at best.

And you can bet that Meyer was schooled on the history of this rivalry all spring/summer. The last minute was no accident...

Contrasts our last possession... we could have put up more points (field goal) if we had wanted but chose to let the clock run out.

I actually had Fla giving the points and I thought it was over, so he did me a favor, I just thought it classlessness that is Urban Meyer.

Do a little research on the history of the series. Schnellenberger kicked a FG in a very similar situation when the game was a blow-out and already decided. It was a total slap in the face to the Gators.

What Meyer did was merely a well-deserved kick in the teeth to "da U." Meyer's a douchebag for sure, but "da U" had that one coming and Meyer delivered.

Just think of it as if the Poodle kicked a field goal against us with less than a minute to go with U$C up by 30 points.....and then years down the road the roles are reversed. Sorry, that's not about class.....that's about payback and a team getting what they deserved.

it is about class though, if you have class you take the kick in the teeth and dont feel the need to kick them back when you get the chance, be above the douchebaggery and play it right.

which is one of the reasons i fell in love with nd football. while all the teams just like that miami team were piling it on in the 80s the irish played and were coached with class and didnt run it up when they could.

Didn't we do something of a poor sportsmanship nature to Iowa about 50 or 60 years ago?

If so, have they retaliated yet, since apparently that is the accepted standard?

i dont really feel any ill will toward meyer for this little controversy, but maybe that's bc john l. smith will always be the most classless doucher in my mind
