Taylor Mays Returning to USC

It's been confirmed...

Mark Sanchez and Taylor Mays will be having a joint press conference announcing their return to USC next year.

Pinkard, Mays, Wright, and Thomas make it 4 returning starters for the secondary. Their entire offense minus Patrick Turner will be returning. This is scary, and we have no shot next season.

Yeah, I was thinking he might. He was thought to be a top 5 pick when the season started, but his stock has dropped a bit lately and some were projecting him to go somewhere in the middle to late 1st round. I was actually hoping he'd declare because I though the Eagles might actually have a chance at him with one of their 2 late 1st round picks. He would have been a great replacement for Brian Dawkins. Oh well, in this day in age when mediocre players declare for the draft, it's reassuring to see some of the better players stay in school.

you do know florida will barely lose a player right. Harvin (perhaps) and Spikes (prolly) could declare but for he rest they lose nothing usefull. Alo we do have a chance cause their strength has been their linebackers and they are all gone. As will a couple of their dlinemen. Also that offense wasnt that good this season. Hoped Sanchez would declare though

They have LB waiting to step in that will be as good if not better then the current crop! I hate USC as much as anyone on here but there offense will be better next year and they torched us this year. Maybe someone should pass me some koolaid because I have no clue how anyone could think we can beat USC next year!

This pisses me off. I can't for the life of me figure out why Mays would come back. He's the hardest hitter on the team, he's built like Adonis, and oh yeah, he's also the fastest player on a team full of cheetahs. I thought for sure he was gone. You would think USC guys off all people would go for the cash and the glory of the NFL, but many of them have opted to stay in school (Malauga, Cushing, etc.) Good for them, sucks for us. Now USC returns their best offensive skill players and will probably add an offensive coordinator that will open thingsup for them, and their defense will be even better than I thought.

As for beating them, I don't see it happening now. Not with Sanchez AND Mays back. Their defense will reload (but sorry Rocket, their LB's won't be as good...yet) with more 5 stars than you can count, and their offense will be better. I won't throw in the towel by any means, but our odds just got much longer. Damn this sucks.

But, we'll just have to see how everything shakes out this offseason. Hopefully we'll improve greatly and give USC a run for their money at home...

2 years, yes. 4 years, not even close. Especially CW's first year. He had a few weeks to do what Pete had been working on for years.

yeah, you guys compared Tim Tebow to Jesus Christ, called him the most arrogant QB in the nation, and made fun of his mission trips to third world countries and prisions. CLASS ACT. entire secondary is back, entire linebacker core is gone, and on the defensive line i know they return at least everson griffin, but anything they lose they pretty much get back because they reload every year. so im guessing they are going to be pretty damn good. hopefully they suck against us though. if nothing else i know we return pretty much our entire offense, which im hoping will kick some a$$ next season.

thats all i needed to know. dont try to act like you understand football please. its a physical game, people get hurt. i dont want him paralyzed or dead, didnt say that, but hurt doesnt bug me. If we have to knock out the entire offensive backfield or beat the hell out of a guy to win, its fine by me. Winning is everything. Those people who say that winning isnt everything, are probably losers. Just IMO.

Dude, your never going to get it. And that KID you keep speaking of is 21 years old and like 235 pounds, not exactly a little boy anymore. If he gets hurt and never makes millions, you can go cry for him okay. And trust me, someone who has never played the game will never truly understand it compared to someone who has. Not saying you cant be a fan, but you will just never fully understand the intensity of it. So dont lecture me like you know what you are talking about.
