I dont know if anyone of you guys caught this besides me the other day. But ESPN did a "computer simulation" supposedly of how Notre Dame would fair this year. Apparently the computer determined that there was a 48.7% chance of us winning only 6-7 games. 0.9% for undefeated,3% for 11 wins, and something like 20% we'll win 9-10.
I found it hilarious. This is the first time I've seen anyone,or read any simulation that said we'd win anything less than 8-9 games.

Computer models are pretty goofy because they depend on what is programmed into them. Never quite got the fascination with computer models. If you put in 'x' and 'y' happens instead, guess how accurate that computer model is going to be? Real life is not a computer model.

Bias. ESPN loves the SEC and New England. Hates ND and my Colts. It's a whole bunch of bullshit.

ESPN's "coverage" is always focused on the same two or three teams in each sport.

NFL: Patriots, Giants, Michael Vick, Brett Favre
NCAAF: SEC, USC
NBA: Lakers
NHL: No coverage
MLB: Yankees, Red Sox, Yankees, Red Sox

The list could go on forever.

espn ( little letters) I love saying that, 6 months ago I changed tv contracts and don't get'em, don't want 'em, and don't miss 'em. When some things get this huge and involved in their industry the decay starts from within--lately you tell me when they said something profound or savy about any sport--entertainment guys pure and SIMPLE.
