Be glad we aren't Michigan, who had to withstand a 4th quarter comeback bid versus Ball State. Or Ohio State, who's up by only 14 on illinois. Stats for the game? Troy Smith with about 100 yards passing. Ohio State with just over 100 yards rushing as well. it's really too bad that there's nobody more deserving to take the #1 and #2 spots. either there's a lot more parity this year than most, or there just aren't that many good teams. Same thing with florida, who had to hold of a 4th quarter rally by vanderbilt. and the abomination that was the WVA Louisville game.
Sure, ND's defense didn't play well today. But after this week, I think that ND could hold it's own with any of the top 10 teams. it's just that none of them are that great. ND would hang with any of them.
