I was in SB last weekend for the MSU game, and my daughter had a copy of the Observer. There was a special insert on ND football, with Sam Young on the cover. In the article, Sam spoke about some of the differences in how Frank Verducci coaches compared to Latina. Sam stated that Verducci teaches far more technique and fundamentals than did Latina, and that Sam is hearing a lot of those things for the first time.
I thought that was a very enlightening statement, and one that speaks volumes as to why the OL is so much improved. For a 4-yr starter to be hearing about a lot of techniques for the first time is pretty surprising.
I think Verducci and our OL have a VERY bright future together. He has shown in a very short period of time that he can develop talent.
