See link. This is an odd situation, but it's alarming that RR appears to have bailed on this kid so quickly.

"It will probably come as a shock, but (head coach Rich Rodriguez) didn't say anything to me," Witherspoon said. "The assistant coaches told me."

"When I came home, I didn't hear from (Rodriguez) or any other coach. I tried calling him. I guess with the season ahead -- I don't know," Witherspoon said. "Somebody could have called, informed me. I didn't get any response. They haven't called me yet. He still hasn't called me to this day. It's out, I'm transferring, and he still hasn't called me."

The young man had NCAA clearinghouse issues with his grades that couldn't be resolved. He needs to look a little closer to home for someone to blame.

it appears to me that they michigan had told him they would hold his hand and make sure it got taken care of. i doubt they didnt know about these things.

i also find it kinda sad that the kid cant even get a call. or an explanation. he put his trust in that staff to lead him and it appears as though they led him wrong and then threw him away. sad but hey that kind of stuff being out there will do nothing but hurt their recruiting.

I think thats the issue. He had these problems and didn't even know it. A coach at some point is supposed to get involved, aren't they? Even the UM fans don't like how this was handled.
