Not much going on, thought I'd start an Oscar thread.

Here are my picks

Best Pick
Million dollar Baby, great movie....

Best Actor
Jamie Fox, he did a great job, movie was a little boring though, but Jamie was fantastic.

Best Actress
Hilary Swank, She was great.

Best director
Martin Scorcese, I know its strange to win best director and lose for best picture, but Martin is long overdue. this movie was extremely boring, but it was shot very well....

Biggest Oscar Snub
Eternal Sunshine, besides Million dollar Baby, Eternal Sunsine was the best movie of the year in my opinion, great plot, Jim Carey was fantastic. Movie was released to early, if it had been released around Christmas, it would've had a shot....

I don't know about this year, but Phil Lamarr got robbed.

Next year, when 'Sky High' comes out, Phil Lamarr-my favorite actor of all time-had better finally get the recognition he deserves. He was oustanding in this year's smash underground-hit 'Fronterz,' and received no recognition.

he's been type-cast ever since his role as "assistant" in bio-dome, to the point that even his uncredited work as "train passenger" in spider-man 2 went completely unnoticed by the academy. that's a fact of life that you're just going to have to deal with.

NO WAY! the biggest snub was...drumroll please...Napoleon Dynamite!. Jon Heder was great and the movie has become an instant classic. I am standing up for the real Americans, the Americans who have never seen "Million dollar Baby", but have seen Napoleon Dynamite 4 times...j/k

yeah napoleon dynamite was the greatest movie of the year, but its getting too commercialized now. i see tons of people walking around with "vote for pedro" shirts who havent even seen the movie. there also isnt any cussing in it, so some people might not have though it was that funny.

I am really shocked that neither 'Farenheit 911,' nor the movie bashing it (which was very inspirational), got nomitated for 'best documentary.' 'TUPAC: RESURRECTION' had best win this coveted award in lieu of the limited field of competition. Likewise, if anthing other than Jeff Fowler's epic 'Gopher Broke' wins 'best animated short film,' I'll be disgusted. My money for 'best sound editing' is on 'The Incredibles.'

I remember hearing how they rationalized that by claiming it was ineligible for 'best picture' as a 'foreign language film' but was also ineligible for 'best foreign film' because it was an American production company.

My favorite part: After 'The Passion' came out, Gibson said he wanted to do a Chanukah film (which would be a really cool movie). Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League walked right into Gibson's trap, saying he didn't want Gibson touching "[their] sacred stories." Only problems is, Maccabees is in the Catholic Bible and not the Jewish scripture (the Torah, Nevi'im, and Ketuvim). Gee, Abe, maybe you should take Chanukah as seriously as Catholics do before dishing out the smack-talk.

They still do the Oscar's? What a great day for Hollywood to pat its self on the back, for spitting out the same old crap. Hollywood can kiss my @$$, and they can keep there oscar's.

I loved Millon Dollar Baby (granted I love boxing, Morgan Freeman, and Hillary "Pink Ranger" Swank).

I think Don Cheadle gave the best performance, but Foxx will probably win; and I'm not mad.

And Rip, Phil Lamarr is the man! He's the voice-over king.
