NHL Draft rankings

Seven players with college affiliations are among the top 30 North American skaters eligible for the 2007 NHL Draft, according to the NHL's Central Scouting Service.

But that list includes only one current college player, Minnesota freshman Brad Phillips, who is ranked No. 20.

The others are all players who have commited to play at a school next season.

That list is led by New Hampshire freshman-to-be forward James van Riemsdyk, who currently plays with the U.S. National Development Team and is the top American-born player eligible for the draft.

Notre Dame freshman-to-be Brad Phillips, ranked fourth, is the top North American goaltender with college ties.

The other highly-ranked incoming college freshmen are Kyle Turris (Wisconsin, C, 5th), Tommy Cross (Boston College, D, 10th), Kevin Shattenkirk (Boston University, D, 13th), Max Pacioretty (Michigan, LW, 23rd), Patrick White (Minnesota, C, 25th) and Colby Cohen (Boston University, D, 27th).
