I wanted to take a quick break from all of the talk about last week's game and tomorrow's game and pose a question about next year. Is anybody else really concerned about the roster for next year? I know CW is getting some young players some early experience (a trend that will continue, especially in the games that the irish will blow the opponant out), but we will potentially lose the starting QB, both starting WR's, starter and backup TE's, 4 starting OL (plus the top backup), the entire starting DL, 2 starting linebackers and the starting secondary...not to mention that Darius Walker could potentially go pro (although I highly doubt this).
Don't get me wrong, I love the young players we have to build with, but I am truly concerned about every position next year. In College football, you always lose players each season, but I can't remember a time in which this many players were set to leave after the season.
Does anybody know which seniors have 5th years of eligibility left? Is anybody else concerned about next year or do you think that the young players we have will be able to hold their own?
