New MLB Hats

Does anyone else out there think that the new MLB New Era hats, with the little colored piece above the ear, are hideous? I really hope that they don't catch on.

They are pretty bad, I don't think they will be the regular hats during the season.

They're horrible. Even the players & managers are complaining about them. I don't believe you'll see any teams wearing them on the field, just BP.

There are new hats this year for games, but they will look a lot like the old hats. The difference is that they will be synthetic, wicking fabric instead of wool, and they will have a black underbill instead of green or gray, to reduce glare:

Haha, its funny how that whole thing went down. I remember listening to the guys on MLB on XM and Rob Dibble, the old Reds reliever, was talking about how in the colder fall months of the season pitchers used to use all kind of stuff on their hands in order to feel the ball better, stuff like icy hot and tar and anything else that they thoughts would help. I guess I can't really say if its cheating or anything, batters use tar in order to get a better grip on the bat, but then again pitchers who use tar can get better movement on the ball. Oh well, I guess it will be condemed by some and not by others.
