I used to check all the rooms. Now I just hit NEW POSTS (on the top toolbar) and it helps me out the most. That way you don't have to cruise all the rooms, you get all the new posts at a glance. Also, keep an eye out for the BLUE DOT on the post icon, which indicates that you have posted in that thread.
