really, we aren't going to give up 40 to usc... the defense has come a long way. about half the battle of upsetting USC is to do what we did in 2005, ABSOLUTELY OWN TIME OF POSSESSION! If you think about it, we should have won in 2005, and we did not play a perfect game, lots of missed opportunities. USC is not that good this year, and we may be young but we sure as hell have talent. True it might be a slightly off year for them, but to say they are "not that good this year" does not make any sense to me, they are ranked 5th in the nation... THEY ARE THAT GOOD. They are not this USC, but they are good, just more beatable. I mean they lost to Oregon St., and just barely squeaked out a win against Arizona, so screw rankings, cuz the Irish should be able to crush both of those weak ass pac10 teams.
