These 20 players are the top targets for Notre Dame's 2006 recruiting class. Bolded players have verballed already.

James Aldridge, RB
Terrence Austin, WR
Allen Bradford, LB
Steve Brown, CB
Matt Carufel, OG
Zach Frazer, QB
Richard Jackson, WR
Demetrius Jones, QB
Jason Kates, DT
Taylor Mays, S
Raeshon McNeil, CB
Paddy Mullen, TE
Munir Prince, RB
Daron Rose, OT
John Ryan, DE
Toryan Smith, LB
Chris Stewart, OT
Darrin Walls, CB
Bartley Webb, OT
Sam Young, OT

**ND already has 5 verbals out of 20. Not bad numbers for late July. Walls, Brown and Mays would form a dominant secondary for the next 3 years. Best bets are McNeil, Kates and Webb at this point. ND wants two QB, so a verbal from Jones would be huge.

Also, note that 5 of these 20 are on the O-Line.

I may get to see Allen Bradford in action this year, If I go I will tell you how he looks.

I've heard nothing but good things about Bradford.

I'm going to try and catch Demetrius Jones this season, but it will have to be a day game on a Saturday...I'm not going into Morgan Park at night. I will also make the 2 hour trip to see Aldridge as well.

I think Richard Jackson would be a huge commit. I like Austin, but Jackson is a freak. You pair Jackson with Hord and Parris, ND would cause major issues for every secondary they play for years to come.

Read on a couple other sites/blogs that Taylor Mays will make a decision in August and that ND isn't on the radar anymore.

I've heard Michigan and USC are his top choices. It is a shame they can't get deeper in the game with this kid. He'd be in there right away I think.

I wonder if he even visited ND? I heard he actually cancelled his most recent scheduled visit after he returned from Ann Arbor. I'd say Mich. is probably in the lead. They must have slipped him some cash.

He has not visited.

Let these guys go to Michigan. If they have no desire to obtain a college degree, it is the perfect place to go.
