While each ND game is a big deal, I think this week's game at MSU will really determine that kind of team and coach we have. MSU has good players who know they can beat ND> plus EL is a tough place to play especially at night.

If we come out hot, look out Sparty! It may be a long night for MSU and we will look good for the season. If we start slow or diasterious like the UM game, we might get buried.

Hopefully we have got the OL playing better this week and had BQ working on his touch passes!

This game has me more nervious than the UM game.

Go Irish!

Agree with everything except for the "long night" part. If MSU starts out hot, I see Notre Dame coming back. If Notre Dame starts out hot, I see MSU coming back. This game wont be seperated by more than a Touchdown IMO.

Good luck Sparty. I hope you are as pissed off at the end of Saturday as I was last week!

I think CW has learned his lesson from the Mich game on having this team emotionally ready. The college player is much different then the NFL player. I will give CW the benefit of the doubt, because it is a learning experience even for him. ND takes this one IMO.

Wow, us ND fans are fickle sometimes. I just think it's a sign of the times and the instant gradification society. I mean, now if CW loses two in a row he's what; a bad coach? Of course I want a win and will be REAL disappointed losing to MSU again, but I think that CW has the program going in the right direction. You can tell that w/the recruting of the last year and a half. Under Ty you between the terrible recruiting, and the terrible loses you could just see the program really becoming medicore.

Either way, I'm not throwing in the towel on this coach. Will get the talent level and the depth back. It will just take a bit. that's all.

i agree 1000%. Even if we lose this game, I won't be jumping ship and/or saying "get rid of Weis". CW has us going in the right direction and I can't wait to see how we look once his recruits start playing in his system. We are going in the right direction and he will have us amongst the elites again in a couple years.

I think I was misunderstood. I like CW and think he has the team headed in the right direction. Hard to be negative at this point given the depth situation we have. Even if we come out slow, I still think we have a chance (IE MSU game last year). I did not feel this way with the smoke and mirrors of TW's teams. Character counts and I think we will see how much character we have tomorrow night! I hope that we have the ship righted this week. MSU and the crowd will be on us from the first whistle.

Now I think the weather is going to play a part in this game. Quinn and Staton might be somewhat limited. I think the game will be battled out in the trenches. Which should favor us.

IMO MSU has a better running game.

Stanton > Quinn
Ringer + Caulcrick > Walker

Darius is better than Ringer or Caulcrick, but Ill take MSU's two "pretty good backs" over Notre Dame's one "good" back.
