For me I want to see someone who is grounded and defense and it's committed to a more traditional running game. I believe that even when the spread or quick-strike offense work properly the issue is the defense is out on the field too often. I think we will continue to have issues recruiting on defense(especially top dline prospects) and need to limit the time on the field by running the ball and making sure we have an excellent defensive system in place.

I also think it's important to hire someone that has paid their dues by being an assistant coach and has recruiting experience.
