How much of an impact do you think Floyd will have in his return against Navy??

I just pray that he doesn't get jacked up again. We'll need him for the Pitt game.

If he gets to 1000 yards (not that big of a stretch with the bowl game included) he should win the Heisman.

i think he gets limited reps.Three receptions for 89 yards and a touchdown then they pull him unless it gets close

Weis said he will keep an eye on him and limit his time. I think Golden will have a bigger day because he wont be double teamed. Floyd will have a bigger impact against Pitt

He won't need to touch the ball to have a big impact on the game, just having him out their will free up Tate and Rudolph, Jimmy will look for the single coverage and act accordingly!

I pray that our staff haven't rushed him back like the Sooners did with Bradford?

My thoughts exactly. I think he will be a decoy for GOLDEN to have a BIG GAME AGAIN. Also it will give him another week to get healthy for POOT I mean PITT

5 catches, 122 yards, 3 TDs.

He'll finish the year with 1,000 yards. 642 yards in 5 games is a cakewalk for a receiver of MF's caliber.

Eric Hansen Twitter:

"WR Michael Floyd showed no rust at all at ND football practice and was the only Irish WR on a chilly day who did NOT wear long sleeves."

Like others have stated -- I'm very worried that we're rushing this thing. It's crazy since he was supposed to be gone for the season, but already back in just 6 weeks. I think he might be pushing it. And i'm not just worried about Pittsburgh ... I'm worried about his entire Jr season and his future NFL career.

I don't think its being rushed. I understand the concern and I'll be pretty nervous the first couple times that he gets hit, but the doctors OK'd him, as did a separate doctor from Alabama that they had look at his shoulder. Weis isn't one to rush someone back, especially against a team that he thinks is inferior (he is holding out trob and allen against Navy and I can guarantee they would be playing if we were playing Pitt instead). I think he is really 100%.

This is the best game for Floyd to get his feet wet in. Wish we had that dude against The Uscum. Undefeated the rest of the way!!!

Collar bones are tricky injuries. And while I could see him in a limited roll this week I hope there aren't many passes where he has to make diving plays. The kid is an all out baller and thinks about nothing but the team when he is out on the field.
That coupled with the fact that teams will have nice target painted on that shoulder gives you reason for concern.

Agree with Phork on this one. Let him get his feet wet this week, then unleash him on Pitt
