Ok now that the season is has been over for almost a month and recruiting is winding down, how about we look to the future. Lets hear what everyone is excited about the most looking toward next year and beyond. Personally I can't wait to see the winner of the QB battle in the Spring.

Me too! I can't wait to see who emerges from the QBs and RBs. I also can't wait to see a new defense that had BETTER be more aggressive. I want to see guys flying around. I don't care if mistakes are made...make them at full speed.

This whole team excites me really, as much as I loved BQ & co. its going to be exciting to see all the new guys step in and play and learn on the job. This season should be a lot of fun without all the expectations of the last year, just to see the new guys come in and play.

I agree with those who spaek of the RB's and QB's. Also I look forward to seeing John Carlson with another year under his belt as well a Tom Z. and all other fifth years. They are all playing to get some NFL credit. Between the fifth years and the sick QB and RB battles a true fan is going to have a good season even though they will not be in a BCS.

Until CB gets his defense installed and his next year's recruits in place, I am looking forward to exciting 49-45 victories.

I am most excited about the offense, actually. Although inexperienced, I think that the talent level on that side of the ball is much higher than 06. The O-line will be the most improved unit I think. I HOPE to see a defense that surprises everyone.

The battles for the skill positions on offense, and a fast aggressive defense being coached by a young, hungry, intense, and aggressive coach.

Just think, next year we don't have to talk about how bad Minter sucks as a DC, or how Darius Walker doesn't have top end speed and is just a good system running back. Man what will we do on all these chat boards. J/k

The group of guys that we had the last two season will never be forgotten. They really made a statement and started the Golden Domers back from the dead where Davie/Willingham left them with the help of CW of course.

I am excited to see some new blood in there. I can't wait to see the battle at QB and OLine. I really hope Aldridge can shine like I think he can, he looks to be a brusier and we haven't had a guy like that for a long time.

On defensive I just can't wait to see the defense playing with a known purpose and a scheme that they understand what is suppose to happen and what their responsiblity is.

1. I am excited to see a new defensive scheme. I hinestly think that we will be better immediatelt on that side of the ball. I predict that our defense will be noticebaly better. Not great, but nitcieably better in Brown's first season.

2. I actually think we might morph into more of running team next year, even with an all new line and new RB. And right now, that excites me. I'd like to be confident on 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 that we are gonna get the 1st down. I'd like to see some time consuming, 6-8 minute drives reminiscient of the the Holtz days.

3. Of course the battle for QB will be exctiing too, but you really won't get to "see" much of that.

I agree, one of my favorite plays use to be watching Denson/Kinder breaking through the line on a dive play and taking it 80+ yards to the house.

I think it's going to be very exciting next year (for the good I hope). Who will be the QB, who will step up at running back and wide receiver positions. Don't forget, how will the O line do with a bunch of new guys there. and thats just the offense! The whole defense is a question mark for next year as well, with a new coach and scheme. Irish Envy is going to be busy handling all the chatter until we hike a ball again. Above all though, I want to see someone step up and become a leader at linebacker or on the D line. Where is a Zorich, or can I say... Stonebreaker??

I am excited to see who the new playmakers are now that our past senior class has left leavin QB, WR, OL, and RB open.

It should be an exciting possibly heartbreaking season.

I am looking forward to watching the new guys and looking for improvements. We are going to be lucky to win 7 games next year, but I know they can pull it off. We will have some tough losses, but just to see all that new talent should be awesome and exciting.
