IMO, line play on both sides of the ball was one of the many reasons for the lousy season last year. I've read many "pre-season" articles previewing our upcoming season. One area they seem to vary greatly in opinion is how they predict our line play will be.

Most of these so called experts seem to think our O-Line play will be better than the D-line. I'm not so sure.

I am a transplant from Fort Wayne and am currently living in Omaha, Nebraska. As you might be able to guess, we don't hear much on TV or see much in the local paper out here on ND football...it's all about the Huskers. So, I was hoping someone on the forum here...that's a little closer to the program, might be able to look into their crystal ball and provide a glimpse of what I can REALLY expect out of the line play in 2008.

the reports out of spring practice were that the lines were being very physical. so much so that a number of fights broke out during one on one drills. so they will at least have more intensity. i think they will also have more chemistry, now that some of the younger guys have been around the older guys a little more.

In my humble opinion, our center, guards and right tackle will be solid.... I am concerned about the play of our left tackle.... he also doesn't have an experienced player backing him up.... I hope he can have a good year and finish his career on a high note.

We are cautiously optimistic that they will be greatly improved. Not to threadjack but any chance of Romine passing Duncan on the depth chart?
