Good Hire if he can bring his dad from Tampa. He did not have a chance in Oakland. I think he will jump at an NFL opening if one comes open in the next 2 years .JMO

Sorry, I think the only thing Kiffin is good at is recruiting. SC didn't fare as well with him at the OC position and frankly his head coaching job Oakland was a head scratcher. Yah, yah I know. Al Davis is a career wrecker.

2003 - 14th in Total Offense (Norm Chow)
2004 - 12th in Total Offense (Norm Chow)
2005 - 1st in Total Offense (Lane Kiffin)
2006 - 21ist in Total Offense (Lane Kiffin)
2007 - 29th in Total Offense (Steve Sarkisian)
2008 - 16th in Total Offense (Steve Sarkisian)

I don't exactly see how USC didn't fare as well with Kiffin as OC. They had by far their best offensive season under him. And the dip in 2006 is largely related to having freshmen getting a majority of the carries.

It's a pretty big bet hiring this guy. It might work out depending on his staff...but it's going to be an interesting ride for the Vols for sure.

My reason for being addicted to ND is so completely random (chose them when I watched TV by myself latchkey style as a kid - maybe I heard the name at church while I was picking my nose), but for some reason I always root for Tennessee unless they play the Irish.

I really liked Fulmer and wish him well. I remember an interview after Tennessee kicked NDs ass, where the announcer tried to bait him into gloating about beating ND. He quickly reminded the announcer on national TV that "This is Notre Dame." Kinda like the 'Cuse coach did last week when he stopped the interview when he heard the ND alma mater start.

Hearing that saved several stray puppies.

ND needs to let football people run football, band people run band, engineers run engineering, fire and never allow Psychology program into the game - damn weirdo liberal losers...

Maybe I should go to college and learn something. teehee.

wow, ya that doesn't make a damn bit of sense. 23-3 in those two years, a fourth and one away from a national championship.... two Pac 10 titles, Rose Bowl victory.... didn't fare well? What is it about that kind of success would you NOT want?

oh wait.... it is all about the "bush push?' All roads lead to the Bush Push and Ty Will....

You see, there is this story about a fox that couldn't reach some grapes.....

Read and appreciate the story, but explain your stance and how that applies to your point.

Do it.

I am a dummy.

And dummies need explanation when point is ambiguous. Try another ID to do so.

I am Bambi, but tomorrow I am going to stumble through the sky with my shiney red nose. I may get pulled over for flying while pilling. (Relax folks, just over-the-counter-Tylenol...)

Has nothing to do with the Bush push. 2 years as an OC, with an offense largely assembled by someone else, 1 year and bit as a head coach in a lame duck franchise.
We'll see what happens.

Don't try your weak-ass Jedi mindshit on me, girlfriend.

I used a second screen name once, during the Syracuse game to see if I could spew the most mindless myopic pablum to see if anyone would rally 'round it. So quit fishing for what isnt there.

And you did not explain your stance. But that's OK.

Use another ID to do so.
