Irish Special Teams

I havent thought of this until now, but what is the case with the special teams? I dont know who our new kicker will be. Also, I think we need a stellar return man. When was the last time the Irish returned a punt or a kickoff? Vontez Duff was great, but we need someone who can get the ball past the twenty, and someone who has vision when returning punts.

DJ fitzpatrick has one more year of eligibilty. He did a great job on punts and field goals this year. He really turned out to be a great walk on.

I heard were getting the tampa bay Buccs special team coach, can't remember his name....

We should try to get joey getherall back.Back in the day with Holtz are special teams were #1.I think in all seriousness Justin Hoskins will be the big play guy.They say he has sick speed and moves.

Special teams needs recruits but how about Walker or even well ill say it Mcknight returning punts

Wouldn't risk putting Walker on returns, we don't have many backs.

in practice last spring, hoskins hurdled a guy when he was returning a kick----literally. he jumped completely over someone and ty said in all his years of coaching he had never seen anyone do anything like that. i wasnt too impressed with his returns this year, he looked like he hated folliwing the wedge in the middle, i think his style was juking nad trying to find a seam. by the way, who is the fastest guy on the teah right now? was it stovall or mcknight who ran a 4.3? didnt tommy z. run a 4.3 or 4.4?

I think we just need to recruit a returner....doesnt seem that we have a good returner rigt now.

Was Campbell banged up this season or what? He seems to me to be the perfect ST guy. He was deadly in High School, but I don't think Davie or Ty really took advantage of that.

As for next year, Walker's too big of a risk. I say just see what type of athletes we get in the recruiting process. Just take a really quick kid who doesn't have a definite position, and make him our return specialist.

that was tom zbikowski, he was high school player of the year from his state. he is goin to be awesome next year. hes fast, but i think hoskins will come around

Lambert And Jabbie both have very good speed, perhaps they can be returners. They redshirted this year.
