I'm so tired of hearing how ND is over, they cant get the players anymore, Blah Blah. This is all BS, we had enough talent to beat Michigan and Tennesse. Its driving me crazy! We need a coach who will win the games ND should win, that was Ty's problem, you cant lose to the BC's and BYU's of the world. I mean do the math if we beat Pitt, Bc, and BYU thats 9 wins this year. So stop buying into the hype that ND is dead in the water, because its BS. There are alot of people out there wanting to see ND fail. Just a short time ago USC was in trouble, look at them now. Miami was in rough shape before Butch Davis, look at Oklahoma before Stoops. There is a cycle and we're on our downside. But ND will rise again, you can count on that!

I could not agree more Timm, evrything goes in circles. If you look at the years ND has won Natianal Championship there are usually years in between the spurts.

I believe that ND will be great again. And I will be one of those few people that are able to say I never lost hope.

Just remember in Ty's first year, we we're 8-0 ranked in the top ten. Everyone was on the BandWagon, tell me the Irish are dead. We need a good coach (Jeff Tedford who unlike Meyer is winning in a real CON Pac-10) that will start us in the right direction. Beat the teams we sould beat and kids will line up to play at ND.

All true. But there needs to be changes. We have problems hiring coaches ( O'leary, Urban) and the AD refuses to allow a few kids slip under the academic restrictions. Even Holtz needed that, Once he lost it you saw ND football starting to fade holtz only won 6 games in 94 when the AD stopped allowing a few kids to sneek in. They had it after Randy Moss said no more kids are slipping in period.

We don't need to allow a bunch of academic exceptions in, just a few. Guys like Tony Rice and zorich wouldn't be able to sneel in now because of the academic restrictions.

Both went on to represent the school very well though.

I agree with you QueensNY. They do need to lighten up on the academic side of things. But thats it, I dont want to let just anyone in, like an FSU or Miami, I dont want to see them fielding a team of felons. Tony Rice now that brings back memories.

As far as the next coach, I think anyone who can take Cal into the top ten(Jeff Tedford), Or Louisville to the top ten(Bobby Petrino), Or a man who has taken Iowa to the top of the Big Ten(Kirk Ferentz), or my real darkhorse and true favorite Dan Hawkins who is 44-6 at Boise St. a school just as good as Utah. Them along with Charlie Weis New Englands OC(I think heswon some Super Bowls, tell me thats not a good recuiting tool). I'd be happy with any of them.

Lol if u hear me talk about ND thats what comes out of my mouth. All ND needs to do ALL lol is win a Championship. Then Ty Willingham, ND cant win, and all of that BS will be gone. Every1 seems to be saying about Nd. NOT ME. And not alot of the fans.
