I'm at a loss...

Folks,

First let me say its nice to be here, I come from a place WAY up in Canada where football pretty much does not exist (hockey country through and through). But I fucking LOVE Notre Dame football, even more than the NFL. Every fall I whip out the ol antenna flag and fly that shit all season, and the only way I'd ever miss a game is if I have some kind of vital life or death surgery, but even then I'd probably get the nurses to wheel me out to the waiting room so I could catch the game.

Yesterdays performance (which totally ruined my night) brought up doubts that I have unfortunately been feeling way to frequently these past few years and begs me to ask a question that drives me INSANE...

Why? why? WHY?

Why is it that the Notre Dame football Program, one of the oldest, one of the most prestigious, one of the most celebrated sporting clubs in the history of the god damn world, why is it that they are not ranked in the top 10?

This is bullshit, this team should rank in the top 5 and stay there, whats the problem? Is it money? I was under the impression that Notre Dame was also among the richest programs in the country! There is no fucking excuse, it should be a no brainier that this team plays a BCS game if not for the national title YEARLY. I expect nothing less from the fighting Irish.

Now I'm not going to take anything away from Michigan because they played a DAMN good game of football yesterday, but the Irish SHOULD, and COULD have played a better game. They have the weapons, they have the backing, they have the tv contracts, they have it all!!!

I like you dude and I must respectfully agree with you. You bring up great points. Why isnt Notre Dame in the top 10 anymore? Because we dont have Lou Holtz and its not the late 80's and early 90's when Lou was here. Everyone knew Lou ran the university. He said he wasnt going to coach there unless the admissions let him do what he wanted to do, so the admissions let him. Dont be NAIVE irish fans, you know as well as I that Lou Holtz could do what the fuck he wanted and thats how he got names like, ZORICH, STONEBREAKER, BOLCAR, RICE, BROWN, BURRIS, BETTIS, TAYLOR, ISMAIL ETC ETC ETC...... Admissions department said they need to stop "CHEATING"......(Yeah we cheated people, like it or not) and basically said to Lou that they couldnt give him what he wanted anymore so he got the fuck out of dodge.
THATS JUST THE WAY IT IS PEOPLE!

OMG, will you people please get a grip. This was one hard fought loss. Come talk to me after 6-7 games if we have 3-4 losses.

NDOM is right on what he said. But look at what Charlie has done the right way. This team is loaded and this mich loss is deep cutting but not going to stop the improvement of this football team. We need to have just 1 loss when SC comes rolling into South Bend. I gotta a good feeling on that one.
