Game time for fiesta bowl??

Am I the only one that found it odd that the biggest game next to USC/Texas is on Monday at 4:30, but the WVirginia/Georgia game is primetime. That means for people on the west coast, the game will be at 1:30. Did they not take into consideration that the majority of people are at work?

Never in the past do I remember a BCS bowl of this magnitude not being at primetime, especially on a weekday.

I think the assumption is that most people will have Monday January 2nd off, since New Year's Day falls on a weekend.

A lot of people probably will be off work,but that is a good point.
I guess if weis doesn't like playing night games then this one is for him.I almost wanted notre dame to go to the orange bowl because it is primetime tuesday night.

It also will give a lot of domer haters on the west coast an excuse to get drunk early and start yelling at their t.v. saying thinks like "lucky A$$ irish" not because they are in the fiesta bowl,but rather becasue they are winning.

The TV people know that they could put ND on at 2:30 AM and get a huge audience. The only way to get any viewers for WV is prime time and then they'll have to compete with the sit-coms.

I thought it was strange as well. Many people will be off that day since New Year's is on a Sunday. I guess it works out better that way.
