Everyone is buying into the Purdue myth. The line has
them as a 22 point favorite, their qb is invincible, they
are 4-0 and they can score.

Really? Think they can do that to the Irish? Let us look
at their strength of schedule so far and compare it to ND's
SoS using three very good power rating services...Tom

They're gonna cover. It sucks. But if they somehow don't it would be the miracle for which I am hoping this weekend.

And I don't think Painter is invincible, or that their 4-0 record really amounts to anything. What I do think is:

1. They have an offense that can put up a lot of points.
2. We have an offense/special teams that tends to repeatedly paint our D into a corner.
3. Our offense can't win a track meet (or come even close.)

1+2+3= Purdue covers easily.

You can't dismiss Purdue's performance so far because they were playing weak teams, because that is exactly what they will be doing again this Saturday. I really hope I'm wrong on this, but it's hard to look at this game with the homer glasses off and see anything other than a blowout.

Well thought out post...

Well thought out post...

Don't get me wrong, I still think ND takes a 13 point
loss, but I don't think Purdue will put up the big
numbers simply because ND has considerable more talent
than previous opponents (I hope)...Tom
