Can any of you help me find USA TODAY'S fan base article from a few years back. PLEASE!

Try searching on usatoday.com. I imagine the article itself would be too old to pull up for free, but you may be able to pay for it and see it that way. At the very least you should be able to find the date the article was posted, and then just head on down to your local library and see if they have it on microfiche.
Nowadays, you can find ANYTHING, but you have to be willing to spend some time on it. Not a bad trade-off, in my opinion.
