Custom Avatars, vBux, and YOU

I would really, really like my own avatar. It's not too much to ask...in the grand scheme of things. I mean, sure, I'd like world peace and the Irish to win the National Championship in football too. But for now, I could settle for the custom avatar. I don't suppose there are any vBux millionaires out there that would like to donate a small portion of their vast imaginary fortune to one such as myself. A man, simply looking to express himself in a better way, but lacking the imaginary funds to do so properly. Oh, curse ye, imaginary bank for bowing to an imaginary recession!

(shakes fist menacingly toward the economy)


In other words, anyone wanna help a brother get toward a custom avvy faster? It's much appreciated.

You know, you did. But, after I managed to jump the fence (laced with barbed wire)...swim the moat (infested with Piranha)...duck the guard towers and their team of crack shots I found my way in! Haha! Victory is mine!

After such an effort, I thought I'd bring my v-panhandling to the public eye.

Well then. I'm a VC member and I cant upload my own. I have to send it to you first so you can do it? Havent we fixed that yet?

Indeed, how do we upload the custom avatar? I've purchased it not, but there doesn't seem to be a place to upload the image or copy and paste a link to a hosted one. Anyone got the answer?

The option should be under the User CP, "Edit Avatar". scroll down, under the preloaded avatars, there should be two blank fill-in spaces to either enter a URL for the internet picture, or a blank to enter the location on your computer.

for those VC members who don't have that option, or if you purchased that option w/v-bucks and it's not there, you'll have to PM LMI to have him talk to the site owners or technical admins to figure out why it's not working for you.

Hmm...I get no option for the custom avatar. Not sure why. I go in to change it and the standard options are still present. I've also tried logging in and logging out. Guess I'll try clearing cookies and using a different browser next.

dre, others have reported this as a problem since avatars were turned back on. PM LoveMyIrish, he may need to talk to the technical admins to figure out why this is still a problem.
