I'm thinking self righteous and scared admin.
Background checks deny guys that got in a fight ala Randy Moss. I would use background checks to find a man who got in fight, then recruit him. He knows what he did wrong. He needs to answer to God, not any fag who wants to deny him.

Randy Moss did not get in and did not deserve to get in. He woulda been great, but he never deserved entry. He was ID'd as a problem and then proved it
Either did Tony Rice and I believe he turned out OK.

Rice was a good guy who kept his nose clean.
Right after Moss got in the fight he got caught carrying dope.
Oh how soon we forget.
Rice was not fighting or smoking dope...
I never said that he was, but by your standards he DID NOT BELONG. Holtz had to put his ass on the line for him. Sometimes you need to do that for a kid. The benefits could be overwhelming.

Moss was recruited by Holtz too. So why didn't Holtz put his ass on the line for Moss? Proabably because of the fighting and the drugs. You can't compare Rice to Moss.

I am fine with Rice...I believe in taking a few chances. But I believe that discretion is exercised by the admissions office not the head coach. Urban believes differently.
Moss did not belong and I am glad he never did. I was glad then and I still feel that way now.

This is stuff we all knew about back in '04...it's not inside knowledge.
But hey, maybe he's turned over a new leaf? Maybe he's willing to give up on his concessions? Maybe he realizes he was WRONG to ask for those things?
Somehow I doubt it though...
Weis should have fired Latina last year and this season might have turned out better.No offense can function with poor line play.You cant run and you cant pass even when the other team is only rushing 4.
Weis didnt do it and once the other teams saw JC couldnt handle the pressure they shut his offense down cold.
The defense has been much improved this year and should help Corwin get on somewhere else.
I think I would give Charlie one more year as long as he got rid of Paulus,Pullian and Latina.Well we have 8 days to see what happens.If ND decides to fire Weis they have 8 days to get a replacement lined up or else recruiting will suffer.
