So I live in Northern California, but my in-laws are in South Bend - and that's how I became a fan.

I was talking to my father-in-law a week or so ago and he told me that Brian Kelly and his wife we're looking at his house that day. It was the Sunday before NSD, so my first reaction was - WHAT?! Doesn't he have recruits in town this weekend? But I guess the recruits fly out relatively early on Sunday.

I kept thinking all day of how cool it would be if Coach Kelly bought their house. (I didn't think it would happen because I don't think his house is that great.) The report I got on Monday was that Kelly only spent 20-30 minutes walking through his house, but he spent about an hour and a half looking at the house directly across the street. That would be soooo much better!

When I come in town for a game in the fall the Kelly's might be living across the street. I don't think I'll be having beers with Kelly after the game, but it would still be cool to have his family right there. Anyway, just wanted to share.

Nice! You and I are kindred spirits...my in-laws also live in SB. Although mine aren't cool enough to live across the street from Brian friggin' Kelly (just kidding mama W!). That would be sweet if that were to happen, especially after ND loses a game and you see a complete meltdown on your block LOL...

I'm pretty sure that if Brian Kelly bought the house across the street my in-laws would no longer be interested in selling their house. But talk about some instant equity in their house!

I'm also hoping that he would have players over at his house from time to time. If I was in town I might happen to be shooting some hoops in the driveway - with a jersey on and a sharpie in my pocket. Keeping my fingers crossed!
