we are not on top of the college football world yet, but we are definately not at the bottom.

Just like last season. Oops! We didn't beat them last year for the first time on 44 tries.

However, that was a streak that had to end sometime and I said last year that if Navy was ever going to beat Notre Dame, last season was the year. If they didn't, they should have just stop playing the series. But, give them credit, they played a great game and got the win.

That being said, we're going to smack them down this season and restart the streak.

Beat Navy and Syracuse, then get beat by U$C and Sun Bowl here comes the Irish! IMO, unless the Irish "runs the table" against the final 3 teams, they don't deserve a Gator or Cotton Bowl invite! Lose to Navy and U$C, they don't deserve ANY bowl bid! 6-6 and going to a bowl is an absolute JOKE for ANY college football team!

Gator has said they really want us. 7-5 and we are in. 6-6 and there is still a chance. We will sell it out, no on else besides FSU or Miami could do that for them. That is what it is all about.

I would take exception to putting Boise St. in that group. Boise St. is officially a year in and year out winning program. Ball St. and the others come and go. Boise State plays in a weaker division than most, but they win continually and there is no team that wants them in the BCS. They also win their out of conference PAC 10 game consistently. That OK game was not a fluke. It kind of goes back to my point yesterday about emotion. Boise St. expects to win every game even though they probably don't get the best recruits. Last year this town was ready to get rid of Coach Petersen after he lost a few games. Yeah, one year after making the Fiesta Bowl and beating Oklahoma. ND needs to get to this point again. (Not the nutty point of wanting to fire a coach for losing 2 games) but back to the point where the kids know they will win every game. "Winning: it's what we do."
