my response:

Bob,

You really just need to stick with writing your worthless Indiana and Purdue articles. The Star gives the Irish, a top 5 program in the nation, no credit for their accomplishments. If you picked up the "Morning Joke" on a given Sunday, unless they lose, you would not know that the university is centered in Indiana. Would it ever hurt you to talk up someone? Notre Dame is 10-1, having their best year since 93, and you want to throw them under the bus. Come on now, if this was Purdue or IU you would be sucking them off and acting like it was the end of the world and crowing their imcompetant coach King of the Land. So please, keep writing about all of the mediocre college and pro sports that are present in the state: IU basketball won't be good again with Sampson, Painter will leave Purdue before they get good, Purdue football will continue to suck under Tiller, and IU football can't recruit in a program that has never been good, with a coach whose only success is in the MAC. I know Jim Tressell is from Youngstown St., but that is OSU and not IU. Oh i forgot the Colts and Pacers, get new ownership, then we might be able to talk championships. Success is measured in championships Bob, so lets talk about the program that has more history than all of the other shitty progams in the state combined. 11 national titles, 7 heisman trophies, 2nd in all time winning %, 179 all-americans. Does Purdue and IU even know what all-americans are? I didn't think so.

Quit being jealous of Notre Dame.

Ah, I see that this is another one of those dicks who writes one-sentence paragraphs, ala Rick Telender.

Also, OSU already beat Michigan. More soundly than the score indicates. And Michigan didn't beat ND as soundly as the score indicates. So the two losses are closer than they look. So, if ND can't possibly deserve to jump Michigan, than Michigan can't possibly deserve another shot at an OSU team that already beat them pretty convincingly.

Nice. This writer is just another hack trying to get attention by taking a shot at the King of the Mountain. Very creative on his part. Now tell him to get in line with the rest of the hacks. I think DJ Gallo will give him "backsies".

Everyone on the radio in Indy seems to hate ND. They are all IU and Purdue fans and are jealous as hell of ND. Its sad. Same with the damn colts. They can do no wrong and Manning is god. The bears are 9-1 but there not that good, but the colts are the greatest. Its no good fellas.

Jelousy is thick everywhere.

It's funny how alot of teams are better now than they were at the beginning of the season. ND? Not so much. Come back victories (not losses) against MSU and UCLA earlier in the season indicate that ND will lose against SC. I love the double standard. It's great, isn't it?

His logic is flawed from the get go. He points to the ND vs UM score as justification for why the irish shouldn't play for the BCS championship against Ohio State.

Later, he alludes to a UM vs OSU rematch being a more appropriate choice, in spite of the fact that it flies in the face of the common sense logic he applied to ND.

So, if UM beats the irish early in the season, there's no way the irish can play for a championship. if OSU beats UM the LAST GAME OF THE SEASON, then line 'em up and play again... what a d$ck.

This hack was a local writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer for years...apparently nothings changed. He's always been a huge "Big Integer" honk and there's nothing beyond the power and glory of the Big 10. *sigh*
