Is the tandem of Samardzija/Stovall the best 1-2 combo in ND history? It will turn out to be one of the most productive single season combos. Just a random thought.

I don't know about ever, but they are one of the best in country. Stovall can hit you deep and Samardzija is short and deep. Its a good combo.

In a single season, as far as stats go, they're probably the best 1-2 combo ND has ever had.

Rhema McKnight's injury might have been the best thing ever to happen to Samardzija, as well as Brady Quinn.

Jarrett and Smith of SC are the best right now anywhere in America.

Jiggs, you got this right. I had not thought about McKnight's injury being a boon to Sam and Stovall but it looks that way.

Also the SC combo is the best but we ain't chopped chicken liver.

There's no question. Those two guys are as good as they come.

Stovall is complete. What a blocker. He's got NFL written all over him.

I loved the story on NBC at halftime about Samardzija. The kid plays the two best sports there are AND he's a White Sox fan.

We still need that BIG WR recruit. Losing Stovall will hurt. Ausberry is the answer but a long shot. Richardson would help.

agreed...by the time the Army All-American Game rolls around WR recruits will look at the final ND receiving stats and will not deny the opportunity to go here. Look at Samardzija's NFL Stock, he if declared for the the draft this year he would be picked up quite high.

You would have to imagine at least 1 from the trio of Ausberry, Jackson and Austin would commit to the irish.

Ausberry is tremendous. That is a name you will hear for years to come.

Whether he is in South Bend or somewhere else remains to be seen.

I wonder why they haven't pushed harder for this kid?
