He's been better than I expected for us this season. A bit erratic at times, but good complete player. I am wondering if he has another year of eligibility. I know he's listed as a Senior, but I wasn't sure if he lost a year when he transferred and would be eligible for a 5th. Think he could step right into Tory Jackson's spot and run the point for us.

That would be great. I was initially really worried about next year's team after losing Luke and Tory, but I am thinking we might not be that bad after all. A starting 4 of Ben Hansbrough, Scott Martin, Tim Abromaitis and Tyrone Nash would be very solid. The 5th starter would be up for grabs and, because of those guys versatility, it could be a guard or forward (Carlton Scott if he returns or maybe Joey Brooks if he steps up or even possibly a freshman like Eric Atkins or Jerian Grant, both 4 star recruits).

A lot will depend on how well Scott Martin comes back from his injury. From what I've read about him, he could be a very dangerous scorer. We have the potential to be competitive next year and I believe that the future is still bright for the Irish basketball team in the post Harangody era.

has another year. Atkins will start at the point next year. Brey's already suggested this is the case - he's close to a top 50 [58 per rivals now] player and one of the highest ranked point guards this year. Also, from the update posted on Martin today, it looks like he's going to apply for a medical redshirt as well, which if successful, would give him 3 more years of eligibility.
