Just wondering if anyone has heard anything on the recruiting front? Pretty disappointed with nothing since the BG game.

i think a lot of kids ND is recruiting aren't deciding until after the summer. those that are deciding soon seem to have held off due to rumors of Weis being on the hot seat this year. mostly speculation though.

It's going to be a wait and see game with a lot of these guys. They're going to wait until the all-star games or NSD. Now, there are also the guys that will be announcing this summer because they want to get it out of the way before their senior seasons. I think our next commit will be Chance Carter personally, with also a chance for the 2 Florida boys, Boyd or Riggs...

I just saw that Justin McCay trimmed his list. I'm assuming we're on it because he had a great visit for the Blue-Gold weekend. Anyone know who he cut and who remains on his list?

ND recently became the 1st D1 school to offer a RB from South Carolina, Preister is his name i believe. He is small, 5'10" 170 but has been clocked in the low 4.3s multiple times when running the 40yd dash. I like speed, so wont argue the offer at all.

Lots of controversy over this offer because his only offer was from SC State, like you said no other D1 schools. But this guy can burn, and after seeing his tape, I can see why they offered him. He's listed in some places even shorter at 5'8". If Toma is worth a scholly, this guy prob is too. Here's his film:

The article talks about the 3 schools he eliminated, but also is a ringing endorsement for ND. He eliminated UCLA (sad for me), OKlahoma St and Nebraska. None of those schools were threats for ND, so it's not really a big deal. His list now stands at 9 schools, but in no order: ND, FL, FSU, NC, Tenn, Kansas, Kan St, Mizzou, and OK.

In the article, Justin says he really loved his ND trip, and it seems we're right there with FL, and probably OK is in the mix as well. He mentioned ND twice in the article, and both times he mentioned them first before the other schools. Could be coincidence, but it looks like he was REALLY impressed with ND...

Yea McCay would be a huge get but i will take him or Prater, both are pretty damn amazing. Im sure his coach, who i cant now remember his name (ND football Alum) is speaking to him about ND alot. Definately think it will come down to us and Flordia, seems really high on both schools.

And a Little more info on Preisters offer. Averaged 12 yards a carry on 99 carries his junior year, not shabby. Also East Carolina offered the day after we offered. Found a nice little article from yahoo talking about his ND offer. Link below.

Kind of reminds one of Rocket Ishmael.
