Do you think it would be unwise for ND to go after a coordinator? Or is this job too big ?
I know our last coordinator did not work out but perhaps one with head coaching experience---or at least college football experience.
My thinking is if ND goes after a HC, lets say it's Kelly. He probably won't be available till after the bowl games. A coordinator would leave his current program and start right away and maybe keep some players from transferring and try to hold the recruiting class together. i'm not sure if he could get a staff together for a bowl game but he might be able to use those practice days.
