I would attack USC head on in recruiting. I'm sure Weis and these guys have to be looking at what guys are looking at SC. I'll bet ND wins a few of those battles this time around.

Any top 'gets' in California will be huge. TY used to rely too much time there b/c of staffs' roots from the Stanford days and consequently lost on the big names. From another article, there is going to be only 1 primary coach (sorry that I forget which one) recruiting all of CA, while there is an overlapping of coaches in other areas. I would read this to mean that CW himself could be very involved with the very top CA kids who show interest (which would be great for ND!).

CW is looking to get from Chicago to Philadelphia in ND control again. I think this is a great idea. The talent pool in Chicago, Ohio, PA is so rich. If he and his staff can re-establish this area as ND territory, the rest will take care of itself on a national level.
