does anyone know what specifically goes into those total figures? I would assume, meals, phone bills, and lots of coffee. but what else takes up to 1.7 mil in a year for recruiting?

I would think travel expenses by coaches and official visits by recruits would be included.

Well, I read the article and it makes sense to me, since more than any other BCS school, our kids are national. Indiana is not prime recruiting ground, like florida and california, so our coaches must travel more to get the talent.
