I know I will get **** for starting this thread but I think it is that important. Great game all around, fun to not be on pins and needles. We will win easily over AF.
OK, Tommy Rees. Apparently anything resembling a fade route is entirely out of his repertoire. Additionally passes requiring touch seem to be insanely inaccurate. He is very good on short outs and slants and even screens of all types. The amount of fairly easy TD's that he missed today specifically to MF was just too much to stomach. It is entirely unacceptable. We can get away with it against what I consider to be a bad Purdue team or Air Force but mark my words missing those opportunities against Stanford and USC will **** all of us off.
So, the question is what does BK do? We are playing overall pretty well as a team and we are starting to score. I can't, lie I don't have a perfect answer. This is what I think right now though, watching his touch passes in the red zone is so frustrating I would prefer just running the ball or putting another QB in. It is that bad and it will bite us in the *** if something does not change. Does this deserve it's own thread, to some of you no. My contention to all who just saw what I saw is that TR is wasting some really good opportunities. When the athletes on upper tear teams see this they will play man cover often which will compromise our running game and have break off zones that will marginalize our underneath routes. Essentially forcing us to do what we should easily do well, throwing jump balls accurately to the biggest beast of a WR in the entire nation.
