I talked to one of his coaches yesterday. I asked him which teams he has an interest in. He said "Notre Dame". I said what about his "dream of going to Georgia"? He shook his head & said Notre Dame was the only thing he's heard.

The kid is a prototype safety. Good height but needs to get in the weight room. He also is adept at defending vs. the Spread offense b/c his team runs it & a lot of his opponents ran it.

How fast is he? Is he a strong or free safety?

I can hear it now...."Mallet in the pocket, throws deep.... intercepted by Dijon. That kid just seems to spread himself all over the field." And... "Dijon covered that receiver as if he was a hot dog on the 4th of July"... "Dijon and Hunter combined for the sack on Mallet, now that's what you call a mustard sandwhich".

He had to play Strong Safety this year b/c they lost their SS early to a knee injury. Can't really speak to his speed b/c it's on the HS level. I saw him 5 times this season & he did a good job of playing centerfield, keeping everything in front of him. Let's just say I didn't see a lack of speed, but, again; it's not exactly D1 competition. He's damn good & coming up and making the tackle from the safety spot as well, both on the perimeter & up the middle. Next year will be when the courting kicks into high gear.

Can't really judge him too much on his weight yet, He'll put on the pounds needed before he enters his freshman year.
