McIver was hoping to attend ND’s last Junior Day, but could not make it. He plans on attending camp at ND this summer and has expressed strong interest in ND. With the recent verbal commit of Mike Adams, and Michael Brewster’s lack of interest in ND, McIver’s size may prompt the Irish to give him an offer.

From McIver, "My leader is Notre Dame". Pretty amazing line considering that he has not received an offer from Notre Dame. McIver gives the impression that if he did receive an offer that he would immediately commit, which would make him at least the 3rd unoffered recruit (along with Jarred Holley & Marcell Rose) that seems to feel the same way.

Damn is all the high school teams just a bunch of LB filling the field. hahaha how many LB are out there this year or has the coaching staff just made us aware of more players this year than other years.

I thought someone said we were leading for this guy, but in todays scout article it says basically if G-tech offers he's their's, we haven't offered him and not many others have so it's not a big downer...

I heard that we were leading for him, but then I heard that if Georgia Tech offers he'll go there. It's not a big deal, I don't think he's very good anyway. None of the big programs are offering him.

Part of it has to do with ND's new defensive scheme which causes players like Flemming to line up at OLB rather than (weakside DE), but most of it has to do with the fact that it's the year of the LB, and WR for this year's recruiting class.
