    Texas A&M Postgame

Hobbs did not play great but Quarters coverage is inherently susceptible to deep over the middle routes. With that, there are ways to combat this through scheme adjustments that did not happen. Ash is garbage and putting CHAMPIONSHIP CALIBER players in a horrible position. There will be coach...

    Texas A&M Postgame

There is zero way players that were successful last year forgot how to play football this year. The offense will give the team an opportunity to win every game going forward but Ash needs to call better games. Some guys have all the knowledge and can woo you in the meeting room, but cannot...

    Sept 13 | Texas A&M

The scheme is not consistent, which is causing the players to guess a bit. They will call a man scheme and have success then immediately roll into a zone scheme, only to give up a big play. Golden trusted his players, Ash thinks his play call will make the difference.

    Sept 13 | Texas A&M

Ash was a bad hire. As much as the offense struggled at times they consistently scored points enough to win the game. Defense struggled mightily and made Reed look like P. Manning.

    Future Playoff Expansion… Hmmm

This probably had more to do with the teams, rather than the seeding. Three of the teams were not top 4 quality (Georgia, Boise State, Arizona State), and one (Oregon) had to get up for a rematch they already won in the regular season. It would have played out differently if the seeding wasn't...

    ND Defensive Coordinator search- 2025

Very similar to how Marcus Freeman rolled into his Defensive Coordinator position at Purdue. He began as a Co-DC when they brought in an outside coach to share duties with him. Worked out okay for Freeman, not so much for the other guy.

ND's Talking Heads ... The good, bad & ugly

Couldn’t get his “Scoop” so he decided to use the emotionality of the locker room for clicks. Glad it is blowing up in his face.

    Natty Postgame

Coaches miscalculated in the game plan. Obviously with hindsight it’s easy to say, but kids were not placed in a position to succeed for the first 3 quarters on defense. When you add to that some miscues that stalled some early drives you get the outcome of today. Silver lining is they were...

    Alabama HC Nick Saban Retires

This is a funny take IMO. The coach he is replacing, or the GOAT, lost to the same team.

    Alabama HC Nick Saban Retires

Looks like a lot of folks don’t want to follow in the Saban shadow. I don’t blame them.

'21 MN OL Joe Alt (Notre Dame Signee)

This will most likely end up being true, but I could see him being the best of all of them. Alt was a TE just a few years ago and has already blossomed into a spectacular LT. I don’t think he has gotten anywhere close to his ceiling yet. Joe Thomas vibes.

Gerad Parker - Troy Head Coach :)

This guy needs to look in the mirror and honestly assess his situation. He calls plays like a 6th grader playing PlayStation. A first time head coach with a first time offensive coordinator is a recipe for disaster. There is literally no one in the offensive room with experience enough to...

    Oct 7 | Louisville

Growing pains as a staff are still very present. The question is how long are they tolerated. New AD is coming and will need a reason to keep this staff around, as he will likely want “his guy”.

    Oct 7 | Louisville

Really hard to believe a coaching staff comprised of many that coached on a Purdue team that won a total of 6 games in three years is struggling.

    Oct 7 | Louisville

Hope I am wrong but this offense has not shown me anything to believe they are capable of making up this deficit in a quarter. Gerad needs to throw his EA Sports playbook away.

    Oct 7 | Louisville

It’s pretty ridiculous Gerad’s answer for a stacked box is running tight formations and running out of shotgun. That is JV level coaching.

    Oct 7 | Louisville

Defensive coordinators have figured Gerad out and he has yet to adjust. He is super predictable and he has very distinct tendencies. Needs to break the habits to have success. Absolutely zero reason this team should have these issues with the talent and QB they are fielding.

Gerad Parker - Troy Head Coach :)

Eh…his play calling is predictable. There needs to be a mix of early down passing to help keep the defense honest. Nothing about the call sequence of the game kept Ohio State off balance, ND was pushing them around despite the plodding game plan. This run when you can and pass when you have to...

    ND- OSU post game thread

Above average and very good are the same thing IMO. Average would be “good”. So he is very good, but very good doesn’t make the difference it just means the position won’t lose the game for you.

    Playoffs

Duke will show where this team ends up at the end of the year. It will be the first game of the year ND doesn’t take the field with the better QB. ND wins by 10+ I feel confident they can win out. If it’s a game similar to this, no chance the season is anything more that 9-3.
