I don't get this. With Botehlo and Tuihalamaka graduating, and KVA out to start the season, there's an awful lot of pass rush reps to fill. Burnham would have been first man in at both end positions, and probably the third down rush specialist (KVA's late season spot) on a team that projects...

    2026 Transfer Portal - General

Seems pretty obvious to me Smothers is a done deal. Price declares, Smothers enters the portal a day later, Sampson highlights it on X, Prister film review a day after that.

    2026 Transfer Portal - General

Here's my take on what we need: QB - probably the toughest to find, but ideally a guy with some experience who has the self-awareness to realize he's not a pro prospect, but wants a world class MBA and to be part of something special. WR - big body/contested catch/Fields type. Just one IMO...

    The Pete Bevacqua Thread

I agree with your earlier point of going to the Big East for non-football. Didn’t Swarbrick say at one point that had he known the non-football / catholic schools would form their own league, he’d never have entertained the ACC agreement?

    2025 CFB Polls and Rankings

Sure we could, and unfortunately, the recipe for that is available this year with Texas A&M / Texas playing at the end of the year. Texas winning that would give them a top 5 win and would put them in the SEC title game, simultaneously hurting our strength of record.

    2025 CFB Polls and Rankings

Disagree here - Tech still gets into the Big 12 title game with a loss, and if they win there over undefeated BYU, Big 12 gets 2 bids. In the event Texas upsets A&M at the end of the year and jumps us, I think we want Tech to win and then hope for TCU or Cincy to upset BYU, knocking them out and...

Resuming at 6:50, “halftime” will be a 3 minute break and then they’ll start the 3rd quarter.

I’m content with the draw. One step at a time, but Ohio State and then the winner of Penn State/Colgate isn’t horrible. Would have been nice to avoid Cornell until the Championship game since I don’t think they are very deep, but I think we match up OK against them.

I saw a mock at Lacrosse Reference with a similar set up and us hosting Harvard. I guess that’s reasonable, just a hunch we’ll wind up at Ohio State.

Looks like we stayed at 10 in the final RPI. Ohio State dropped to 6, so I’m back to thinking we go there.

Yeah the math on Richmond is odd to me. Only good wins are UVA and Gtown. Must be the combination of a large number of decent wins, and all losses to top 5 teams. My guess is Richmond and UNC play in what is a defacto 8/9 game. Now I’m curious where we go. I thought OSU for certain, but they...

Current RPI is 10. Might goose up to 9 if Georgetown and Duke win, but that’s about it. They’re almost certain to play the first round at Ohio State. Army is almost certainly out.

Syracuse struggles outside the dome/on grass (which is why they avoid it like the plague, only 4 away games out of 14 played). I do worry about English and Leo being able to run right by any SSDM not named Ramsey, but otherwise I think they clean up the close defense issues they had last time...

Any idea why they didn't take a transfer shorty? To me its like a WR or DB in football, just take one because there's no such thing as too much depth there and seemed like an obvious need with Parlette and Harris graduating. Agree with Irishrb, they still need to find that outside hammer to...

This is what I saw as well. The offense seems to really miss Dobson/an outside hammer who forces the defense to stretch and creates room around the crease and GLE. Not sure they have that on the roster right now and I think teams (particularly ones with good goalies) are starting to see this...

Ok thanks. I thought the plan was for Campisi to play close when they brought him in? Hard to imagine he’d have come here to play behind Donavan.

Who has been starting at close defense? Lyght, Campisi and Schwitzenberg? And do they really call Pokorny, “Pork?”
