Remember when we used to get excited for the banquet because it meant we would have some secret visitor on campus for a visit? I think it peaked with Greg Bryant for me.
I'm with you. Absolutely sad that something we all enjoy as much as we do (ND/NDFB) no longer brings us the joy it used to. And the worst part -- it has NOTHING to do with the product on the field.
I know the transfer portal changes everything, but I still think the following holds true: just get 'em in the door, sort the rest out later.

But this thread (and the subsequent post I was quoting) wasn't considering everything. It was in the context of QBs. Just admit you misunderstood the context of the conversation and move along to your next disagreement...

Sometimes you can be really intellectually dishonest. Is this not still the 2023 transfer QB thread? In that context Iowa has done well for themselves.

The question was "Who has it gone well for?". I didn't say we or I wanted McNamara, but can you tell me this transfer window hasn't gone well for them (Iowa), esp by their standards on offense?

I mean 2021. He was hired January 8, 2021 which means he was the DC for virtually the entire calendar year in which the 2021 class was built and signed. Am I off here? You have me thinking I'm crazy now.

Should also be noted that it's no coincidence 2021 (Kelly's best class since 2013) was largely due to the DC at the time. Freeman.

If his recruitment goes past ESD I'm going to suggest we lock this thread. Nothing good will come of it and the last thing this site needs is another recipe thread.

This is the stuff recruiting lore is built on. Freeman is the chosen one. This is his moment.
EDIT: Prayer thread or nah?
