It’s January.

During his ESP presser, Freeman mentioned Love as a guy they felt could help early. I thought that was surprising. Not because of his talent but because of the depth chart. If he's able to make an early move on the depth chart, then that likely spells very good things for his career.

At the end of the day, prospects making informed decisions will always be in ND's best interest, one way or another. However, I do think there are some signs this recruitment has some unusual (for a ND signee) volatility too it.

With Mason's ascension this last season and his time in front of media grew, I often thought he was a fricking rockstar and why isn't he in front of recruits more often. Or why don't we hear about it more often. And, there it is.
