Now if thats the case then that would be the idiocracies I speak of, we are in no position to turn down 4* Safeties while taking commitments from 3* guys with below mediocre film! Hell we aren't in position to turn down any 4* DEF player PERIOD!!

'24 IL DL Justin Scott (Miami [FL] Verbal)

Corner is definitely average for ND, Safety well below, LB is good and DL is good.

Agreed! I mean last I checked Notre Dame should be recruiting ELITE players at an elite level. It's worrisome when they recruit like Indiana Hoosiers.

Well thats the problem we need to start recruiting Safeties that can ACTUALLY play Safety instead of undersized LBs masquerading at S or continuously switching over CBs who weren't quite quick enough for the position.

I don't understand why ND cant seem to recruit DBs with the same desire and emphasis that they do OL and TE. That alone would change the dynamic of this team and make us contenders but instead they seem to look for scraps at Safety and think they can throw anybody at the position. Seems to cost...

Agreed!, its the craziest thing ive seen in recruiting Notre Dame Safety recruiting has been a mystery for the last 12 years, they landed two 5* in Hamilton and Redfield, about 3-4 4* and two of them became LBs in Heath and Tranquill and then an abundance of 3* players at the position. Yet they...

'24 OH S Taebron Bennie-Powell (Notre Dame Signee)

They had him at 6'1 182lbs running 4.58 at Camp a few weeks ago so I'd side with that 100%...He's definitely not as tall as Gardner is now and he's 6'3 195lbs but he's a bit thicker up top

'24 OH S Taebron Bennie-Powell (Notre Dame Signee)

His strengths are playing like a LB at the moment and NOT like a Safety, go figure but he really stuggled in coverage because his hips are tight and he struggles opening up and getting vertical. He excels with everything staying in front of him on the attack.

'24 OH S Taebron Bennie-Powell (Notre Dame Signee)

Gardner had a rating of .8344 but he was also an All State DB in Michigan so people knew he could play and had outstanding length at 6'2. Problem with Gardner was he was slight (at 163lbs) and lacked straight line speed (4.73) but his cover skills and technique were never in question. TBP has...

That's absurd unless you want to stay in the middle of the pack,! You NEED 5* kids to compete against AND beat teams like UGA, Bama, tOSU because those teams are loaded with them.

'25 TX RB Tory Blaylock (Offer)

Derrick Blaylock's kid, former 5th Rd pick of Chiefs was a 4.3/10.44 100m guy who played well in '04 as Priest Holmes' backup. Son already running 10.7 as a Freshman wooooow.
