It isn't as much these days due to the finesse and importance of the passing game (much like the lost art of the midrange in Basketball as every kid wants to shoot the 3). Most teams employ a RB by committee system so the days of the solo act/bell cow back are few and far in between.

Yea, I saw that but gettinh into that top 5 is where the big difference is but ppl still say the academuc standards prevent that, being in that 2nd tier (7-11) is ok but you have to wait on a favorable schedule and a little luck to really gave a legit chance.

I mean the historic College Football program in the land in itself should get you in the Top 15 alone! Just put in some fringe work for top 10 and get with the times to stay in the 5-6 range. We can't bank on the TV contract in this error since FCS schools are now on TV. We should be able to...

Lol, I was making reference to that #50-60 class. I believe bare minimum at this program should be #10-12 range and thats after a few top 5-6 classes.

Nor will it be a Top 8 class as it should be for a school like ND annually. I would hope we wouldnt be comparing class success against the likes of Northwestern, Kansas and BC😔😔

Sounds good but umm since 2016 Graduation rates at those schools are... Notre Dame 94% Alabama 93% Ohio St. 87% Texas 75% Georgia 41% Aside from UGa tbose numbers aren't bad and Bama and Ohio St #s are excellent.

It was a position of need alongside Watts, but instead of getting a future 1st Rd talent like Downs we got a safe/solid guy in Heard.
