Man, tough loss. Really like him as a player, and he seems to be a great person with a great family. As MMFF said, he's leaving with an ND Degree in hand, and we'll be fine (hopefully) on the IDL. Very best of luck, Jacob! Will be rooting for you!

Incidentally, I've been to several ND games over the years--making the pilgrimage from NEPA (and once from Alaska) to South Bend. By far, the most obnoxious opposing fans I've ever encountered were those during the 2012 BYU game in South Bend. This was unexpected. I almost got into it with one...

I'm (very cautiously) optimistic too. I do think there was marked improvement in the OLine, and as Irish#1 points out, that play was Harry getting through to Big Fish. Plus, the three running backs absolutely ran like there was no tomorrow--Estime in particular being a fucking bowling ball...

I just watched the game. Right from opening kickoff, I was shocked by how few people attended. I know it's a thing with Miami. But holy shit! That's amazing.
