He did breach their contract when he transferred, so he shouldn't have been too shocked that they told on him.
I don't think you can make a player sign away his right to transfer.
I was at the UCF game. It was twice as confusing in the stands. Bottom line, the ref's fuck up on the 10 second runoff after the blocked kick is the only reason the game ended crazy. If not for that, they just line up and kick it again. Game over.
Even if no 10 second runoff I do not think that UCF gets a free timeout there. There was 2 seconds left so the refs should spot the ball and start the clock.

The rulebook applies that runoff only when the helmet coming off is “the only reason for stopping the clock, other than due to an injury.” Because the blocked kick never crossed the line of scrimmage, the play ended a legal kick down, which stops the clock by rule. UCF should have kept the ball on fourth down with the clock starting on the snap.

Citation needed.

edit: Looks like the ncaa changed the rule. That is an old blog.

Jesus H, I'm not defending a thesis. UCF won the game. They deserved to win the game. The kid's helmet was ripped off his head. Pick a reason as to why they should have had a 2nd kick. Doesn't matter anyway. They beat BYU anyway.
