I think with the way Freeman has ND recruiting and the high end depth that this program now has with the easing of the transfers into the program that they will use the portal very little. However I expect they go big game hunting to add a few studs if the youngsters need a little more...
I was told by someone in the know that ND got a massive steal when they got Sanders and believe he very well could be a 3 and done prospect with a 1st round grade. Even though he's been seeing alot of time in camp as the field corner I would have expect him to be Moore's backup.
Since Jack Larson got on campus they've said his route running and hands were elite, I've always assumed it was a strength, speed, quickness or a blocking issue that has kept him sidelined.
Well they better be blowing out teams this season and allowing the backup to throw alot and develop in real games because otherwise I can see them for 1 season going to the transfer route.
It can be but it also could be a headache because before you were protecting their eligibility by red-shirting now not playing at all in a season you just lose a year of eligibility.
That and that the 5 for 5 is going to changes things as well. Mentally people could wrap there mind around redshirting to preserve a season but even with an extra season I think we are going to see athletes everywhere look at that they aren't getting a extra season if they don't see the field...
That was the case when he got to ND but from what I understand now it's about consistency. Essentially everything about his game is BOOM or BUST. If this is still the case then I can see him being a player in some "speed packages", probably in 4 WR set. The same can probably be said about...
No doubt and he's a better athlete than he's given credit for. In fact his toughness and playing through injury has made many think that that's his level of athleticism when it's actually an impaired athleticism.
That would be a nice CB class but the one thing the recruiting services got right IMO is while the CB as a whole is very good and until his reclass Sears, Richardson and Fields were just at a different level even though.
